There are two sides to me: the girl who lived through an eating disorder and wants to escape its identity, and the girl who wrote a memoir centered around her relationship with her body and can’t stop talking about it. Over 12 years, I worked on a memoir, I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Paris with a Grande Diplome and earned a degree in Comparative Literature from King’s College London. These experiences helped shape my voice. Through owning my disease, I’ve delved into its nuances, its multidimensionality, and the deeper story it has the potential to tell. I’ve refined my sense, my taste, and honed my ability to communicate beyond mere opinions. Aftertaste extends this journey, offering a platform to amplify personal narratives and perspectives. It provides a space for introspection, self-reflection, and artistic expression. Aftertaste is a natural extension of myself.
